Team projections: Updated team projections

The Bills are heading into a difficult stretch of their schedule right now. Three of their next four are on the road at Miami, Baltimore and Kansas City. Their next two home games are against Pittsburgh and Green Bay (Pittsburgh, recall, gave them fits last year). But they’ve sure got it going right now, looking like by far the best offense in the league.   more »

Andy Richardson: Thursday Night Recap

Football is back, like it never left, and Josh Allen made everyone who drafted him atop the position in their leagues pretty happy. It's never wise to make final judgments on teams and players based on one game, but what the heck -- you don't want to be slow to react, either.  more »

Factoid: Running quarterbacks

When you have a quarterback who looks likely to run for about 8 TDs on his own – think Jalen Hurts, Trey Lance and Josh Allen – does that make the running backs on that roster less likely to score? It seems that way in a certain sense, but it’s one of those theories that deserves to be looked at more carefully.  more »

Factoid: Josh Allen

With Josh Allen, I notice that he’s not running as effectively in short-yardage situations as he has in the past. He’s a weapon, but teams are more aware of him now – making stopping him more of a priority. The Titans, most famously, coming up with a key goal-line stop at the end of a Monday night game.  more »

Fantasy News: Re-stacking the board

Some out there, I am told, are starting their fantasy playoff competitions now. That solves the issue of some teams having byes, and there were a bunch of clunker games in a less-than-super Wild Card Weekend. With that in mind, let me take a moment to take a stab at an overall board.  more »

While it won’t get you any extra fantasy points, the accomplishment is impressive. Less
