Ian Allan: Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings lost Kirk Cousins. Now what? They’ve still got Kevin O’Connell, and he appears to be one of the better coaches at drawing up pass plays. And they’ve still got Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson.  more »

Cousins to remain with Vikings past 2023?

Minnesota Vikings quarterback KIRK COUSINS is in the final year of his contract with the team, and many have assumed that he will move on after the 2023 season. Not soMore fast, fantasy owners. While the possibility remains, Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensha said after the NFL Draft this weekend that the team likes where they are with Cousins and the quarterback position. Factoid: Sam Howell

Washington has a lengthy run of struggling to find competent quarterback play, and 2023 might be no different. It will be veteran Jacoby Brissett or second-year passer Sam Howell, neither of whom is a sure thing for excellence. Brissett is the capable veteran, Howell the one with upside.   more »

Minnesota poised to draft Hooker as QB of the future?

Four quarterbacks are widely expected to be drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, including BRYCE YOUNG (Alabama), C.J. STROUD (Ohio State), WILL LEVIS (Kentucky), and ANTHONY RICHARDSONMore (Florida). The Vikings do not have a second-round pick this year, so they may need to draft Hooker in the first round if they think he could eventually take over for veteran KIRK COUSINS. Less

Factoid: Pocket passers

I get a little nervous with immobile quarterbacks. When a player isn’t doing anything as a runner, it makes it harder for him to stack up statistically against the more mobile players at the position.  more »
