Beckham Jr. to take some time to decide on next gig

Veteran free agent wide receiver ODELL BECKHAM is reportedly set to take some time before deciding on his next team. After clearing waivers following his release from Cleveland, Beckham is expectedMore to take “a few days away” before deciding on his next destination. Thus far, he seems to have the most interest from Kansas City, Green Bay, Seattle, New England, and New Orleans. Stay tuned, fantasy owners. Less

Around the NFL: Odell Beckham

So Odell Beckham will choose his new team soon; apparently he's narrowed it down to Kansas City, Green Bay and New Orleans. The question is whether or not he's actually a difference-making receiver anymore, or if his years of injuries have sapped his explosiveness.   more »

Factoid: Odell Beckham

I don’t expect Odell Beckham will have a big bounce-back season. Cleveland has other receivers who look comparable, and I don’t like the offense.   more »

Factoid: Cleveland receivers

In the magazine, we’ve got an Experts Poll, a Mock Draft and a Mock Auction. And as I see those coming together, it’s becoming apparent that most everyone likes Cleveland’s wide receivers a lot more than I do.  more »

Factoid: Browns passing game

Last night I was watching the Pro Bowl skills competition so you didn't have to. I got reeled in, for some reason, to the dodgeball game, won by the AFC (spoiler, sorry), with Jarvis Landry stealing the show. Why people would throw waist-high dodgeballs at a wide receiver is beyond me.   more »

Ian Allan: Thursday night recap

It wasn’t the best Thursday night game, but it was one of the most memorable – with injuries galore and a game-ending brawl that will affect both teams going forward. (The league today suspended Myles Garrett for at least the rest of this season, so there’s a chance he won’t be available on opening day in 2020.) A position-by-position breakdown:  more »

Factoid: Odell Beckham

Can a player like Odell Beckham “turn it up a notch”, so to speak, when his team is playing on national television? Sometimes it seems that way, when he’s making a three-fingered catch against the Cowboys. When the Browns played on MNF a few weeks back, Beckham made another remarkable catch and also turned a short reception into a long touchdown.  more »

Around the NFL: Beckham absent

Odell Beckham has been staying away from offseason workouts in Cleveland. It’s not necessarily a big deal (these are voluntary practices, after all) but it could affect the size of the role he plays in the team’s offense.   more »

Around the NFL: Browns land Beckham

Odell Beckham is headed to Cleveland, and as with Antonio Brown, it surprisingly didn’t take that much to get him.  more »

Factoid: Transplanted receivers

Odell Beckham and Antonio Brown look like two of the biggest dominos of the offense. Both are capable of being elite playmakers, but both are also capable of turning into major off-field distractions. If they’re moved, will their new teams regret it?  more »

Around the NFL: Beckham won't play

The last three times Washington has played the Giants neither team has scored more than 20 points, and it looks like theycould be headed for another one of those kind of games. The Giants have ruled out Odell Beckham for Sunday’s game.   more »

Around the NFL: Russell Shepard?

Passing production is at an all-time high. This is especially true, it seems, if you face the right defense. Kansas City and Tampa Bay (just fired its defensive coordinator) are giving up over 350 yards per game. The Saints, Falcons, Steelers and Bengals are all giving up over 300 yards per game. It's nuts, but the result is that some no-name wideouts are going to be viable in weekly matchups with these teams.   more »
