Patriots trade All-Pro CB Gilmore to Panthers

The New England Patriots traded star cornerback STEPHON GILMORE to the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round draft pick. Gilmore won’t be eligible to play until afterMore Week #6 per NFL rules, meaning he will likely make his Panthers debut on October 24th against the New York Giants. Gilmore, 31, underwent surgery to repair a quadriceps injury suffered last December and did not participate in training camp with New England. Patriots QB Newton, CB Gilmore return to practice
