Seattle Seahawks wide receiver JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA had surgery to repair a fractured wrist, but the team has been optimistic and the rookie wideout will reportedly start the season on the activeMore roster and not on injured reserve. While his status for Week #1 is still unknown, the initial estimate of Smith-Njigba missing 3-4 weeks seems to align with the decision to keep him on the active roster to start the season. Factoid: Three's a crowd

I am a Jaxon Smith-Njigba fan. I think he’s the best of the rookie receivers. If I’m walking into a dynasty draft, he would be the first rookie wide receiver I would draft, and it wouldn’t even be close. (I think I’d rather have him than all three of the other wide receivers who went in the first round.)   more »
