I’m not super excited about the receivers who were selected early. They all come with various flaws. That said, the tendency recently has been for the early-pick receivers to get involved sooner rather than later. Gone, it seems, are the days of guys needing a few years to develop. more »

Falcons sign WR Allison to one-year deal
The Atlanta Falcons added yet another veteran wide receiver to help strengthen their pass-catching corps, signing wideout GERONIMO ALLISON to a one-year deal. Allison joins former Raiders wideout BRYAN EDWARDS, who was acquired in a trade late last week, and rookie first-round wide receiver DRAKE LONDON.

It’s a weird year for wide receivers. There’s plenty of talent, with perhaps a record number being selected in the first three rounds, but there’s no clear No. 1 prospect. In my eyes, there’s no receiver who looks like a lock to be one of the first two selected at the position. more »
