Kansas City RB Pacheco “absolutely” 100 percent for season opener

Earlier this week, Kansas City head coach Andy Reid said he wasn’t sure if second year running back ISIAH PACHECO would be available to start training camp. Pacheco eased fantasy owners’More minds on Thursday, saying during a press conference that he will “absolutely” be 100 percent and ready to roll for the season opener on Thursday Night Football against the Detroit Lions. Kansas City head coach Andy Reid confirmed that running back ISIAH PACHECO is on the mend after a pair of offseason surgeries. Pacheco reportedly had an injury to his hand andMore a torn labrum, both of which were repaired during the offseason surgeries. Reid said that Pacheco was “making progress” before adding “We’ll just see how he does with it”. If Pacheco were to suffer any sort of setback, Kansas City also has JERICK MCKINNON and CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE returning to the backfield from last season. Less

Kansas City let the practice squad contract of veteran running back MELVIN GORDON expire this week, meaning that Gordon is likely headed to free agency. While the team could reach anMore agreement with Gordon, fellow running backs ISIAH PACHECO, CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE, and LA’MICAL PERINE are also on the Kansas City roster. Edwards-Helaire nears return for Kansas City

Kansas City running back CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE was designated to return to practice from injured reserve this week. The 21-day practice window is now open, meaning that Edwards-Helaire can be activated toMore the 53-man roster at any point during that window. While his teammates are excited for his return, fantasy owners of fellow running backs ISIAH PACHECO and JERICK MCKINNON may not share in the excitement.
