Lions RB Swift ready to roar for season opener

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell said on Tuesday that running back D’ANDRE SWIFT “should be ready to go” for this week’s season opening game against the San Francisco 49ers. SwiftMore missed the entire preseason with a groin injury that his coaches initially said could cost him reps in the regular season. Thunder and Lightning to strike in Green Bay backfield?

Green Bay running back A.J. DILLON, a lightly used second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, is expecting big things heading into his second season. With former Packers running back JAMAALMore WILLIAMS now in Detroit, Dillon is expected to have an increased role along with fellow running back AARON JONES.
