Dynasty Leagues: Long-term QB rankings

With the Cardinals and Patriots having won in Pittsburgh (both now have 3-10 records) the Bears are zeroing in on the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. They’ve got Carolina’s pick, and the Panthers are sitting at 1-11.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term WR rankings

Bill Belichick has been remarkably bad at drafting wide receivers. N’Keal Harry, Chad Jackson, Bethel Johnson, Aaron Dobson. But he’s been remarkably good at finding and developing more unheralded wide receivers, and I’m wondering if he’s got another one of those guys on his hands.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term quarterbacks

In August, I re-stack my dynasty board (in full) every Thursday. During the regular season, it gets kicked to back burner. Each Saturday I look at one of the four notable positions, rotating between QB, RB, WR and TE.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term QB rankings

What do we make of Deshaun Watson now? He’s been pretty terrible in his five games – the Browns were getting better quarterbacking when Jacoby Brissett was starting.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term WR rankings

After the last three weeks, I think we can add Drake London to the party. He looks like he’s going to be a good receiver for a lot of years.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term TE rankings

The Dolphins franchised Mike Gesicki back in March, but they’re not using him. Their plans for him changed, I suppose, when they were able to land Tyreek Hill. Gesicki has caught 1 pass for 5 yards in his last four games.  more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term RB rankings

The Seahawks have floundered of late, particularly their running game. But I have seen enough of Kenneth Walker that I am high on him going into future seasons. He looks like the real deal.  more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term QB rankings

On Tuesday, Baker Mayfield’s value was low enough that 30 teams didn’t bother submitting a claim for him when he hit the waiver wire. Two days later, he played well enough that it’s reasonable to wonder if he might be starting for the Rams next year.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term RB rankings

I think the Panthers will win the Christian McCaffrey trade. He’s a nice player, but that’s a big price tag for a 26-year-old running back – it’s not a coveted position.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term QB rankings

Tua Tagovailoa has cleared the concussion protocol, according to an NFL Network report. He won’t play this week, but he’s expected to be in the starting lineup in Week 7.  more »

Dynasty Leagues: Oh, Henry

Have we seen the last greatness out of Derrick Henry? He’s closing in on 29, and he’s trying to run behind an offensive line that’s a shell of what it’s been in the past. He averaged under 2 yards per carry on Monday night, and he finished short of 4 yards per attempt in the opener against the Giants.   more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term QB rankings

With Joe Burrow having thrown for 971 yards and 8 TDs in his last two games, it’s fair to say that he’s graduated from being an up-and-coming quarterback. He’s now one of the very best guys – not only for this year, but for the foreseeable future.  more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term WR rankings

There’s just over a week left in the regular season. So just over a week left for those in dynasty leagues to make their final player acquisitions before rosters lock for the offseason. With that in mind, let’s take a final look at the top 80 wide receivers for such leagues.  more »

Dynasty Leagues: Grab a Penny stock

I see in today’s edition of The Seattle Times, they’re saying Rashaad Penny might be activated for the game tomorrow at Washington. It’s a reminder that Penny makes a lot of sense with a stash roster spot in dynasty leagues.  more »

Dynasty Leagues: Long-term WR rankings

Ranking wide receivers for dynasty leagues is trickier. You have to look at not only where players are right now, but where they might be five years from now – and who’ll be throwing to them.   more »
