Arizona releases RB Benjamin

In a surprise move, the Arizona Cardinals released backup running back ENO BENJAMIN on Monday. The Cardinals will now turn to rookie KEAONTAY INGRAM as the backup, with JAMES CONNER remainingMore in the starting role. The other two backs who began the year on the roster, DARREL WILLIAMS and JONATHAN WARD, remain on injured reserve. Cardinals sign former KC running back Williams

The Arizona Cardinals signed 26-year-old former Kansas City running back DARREL WILLIAMS earlier this week. Williams is entering his fifth NFL season after setting several career highs last season in KansasMore City. Cardinals RB Conner misses second consecutive practice

Arizona Cardinals running back JAMES CONNER was seen participating in warmups on Thursday but he ultimately ended up missing the actual practice session. Thursday’s practice was the second in as manyMore days in which Conner did not participate. He continues to deal with the heel injury that kept him out of last weekend’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
