Factoid: Young pass catchers

The expectation was that the Packers would add an experienced pass catcher at some point. That never happened, but it didn’t matter at all. They got by just fine with the youngest receiving group in the league.   more »

Factoid: Jordan Love

I am a little nervous about the Dallas Cowboys, touchdown favorites over visiting Green Bay. Despite having a lot of good teams in the past 30 years, they haven't advanced past the Divisional Round since the 1995 postseason, and they've lost in the first round more often than not. And they're facing a quarterback in Jordan Love who's playing very well.   more »

Around the NFL: Sunday Night Football Takeaways

If you’re the general manager for the Vikings, it shouldn’t be too difficult of a decision to see that Kirk Cousins should be the starter for 2024. The quarterback play for the Vikings is not great. It would be a waste to miss the window in which you have Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and TJ Hockenson. The Packers, however, look great and they are a young team.  more »

Scheduletron: Packin' for the playoffs

That was a pivotal win for the Packers. It pulls them back to 6-6, and their remaining schedule indicates they have an inside track on a playoff berth – it will be a surprise if they don’t get in.   more »

Factoid: Fumbles

Green Bay against Minnesota is an unusual game in that it features the offense that has lost a league-high 9 fumbles (the Vikings) against the only team that hasn’t yet lost a fumble (the Packers). But I don’t think that should be used as a significant factor when considering defenses to stream in Week 8.  more »

Scheduletron: Love the schedule

The way the schedule is stacked, I like Aaron Rodgers’ old offense a lot more than his new one. The Packers have a much easier schedule than the Jets.   more »

Packers QB Love “definitely ready” for season opener

Green Bay quarterback JORDAN LOVE said after Saturday’s preseason game against the New England Patriots that he is “definitely ready for Week #1 and to carry on throughout the season”. WhileMore Love seems ready to roll, head coach Matt LaFleur hasn’t ruled out playing Love and the No. 1 offense in Saturday’s preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks. Either way, the Packers and Love sound ready to face the Chicago Bears on September 10th in the regular season opener for both teams. Less

Packers rookie TE the next Travis Kelce?

Packers QB Love expected to see increased preseason reps

Green Bay quarterback JORDAN LOVE played well in his two series in the Packers preseason opener, but head coach Matt LaFleur said afterward that his young signal caller would likely seeMore more playing time in the team’s next two preseason games. The Packers are in an interesting situation in that they do not want their starters to get injured during preseason games but many of those starters are young and inexperienced and need all the reps they can get before the regular season begins. Green Bay’s next preseason game will be this weekend against the New England Patriots. Less
